Wayne D. Barron, 70, of Lecanto, Florida, a native and former Nashua resident, died Monday, January 13, 2015 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast.
Wayne was born in Nashua on January 7, 1945 a son of the late Donald H. and Lena (Shepherd) Barron. He was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1965 and furthered his education at Lowell Tech. Mr. Barron had been employed as an engineer in the plastics industry at Bemis Company for 30 years and later worked at P.M. MacKay Group until his retirement. Wayne was a member of the Arlington Street United Methodist Church in Nashua for many years.
In 2005, Wayne moved from Nashua, NH to Lecanto, Florida. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church in Lecanto; and was a member of the Citrus Hills Model Yacht Club. In his leisure time, Wayne loved tennis and antique car shows.
Members of his family include his brothers, Ron Barron and his wife, Donna of Hudson, NH and Edward Barron and his wife, Thirza of Rochester, NH; nieces, Kristin Barron of Hayward, CA and Koreen “Kory” Egan and her husband, Christopher of Farmington, NH; nephew, Todd Barron and his wife Elizabeth of Nashua; several grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by a nephew Shawn Barron.
Funeral services for Mr. Barron were held at Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church in Lecanto, FL on Tuesday, January 20th. Interment will take place at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua at a later date.
