William Riese, III, 71, of Hudson, passed away unexpectedly at his home, early Saturday morning, October 10, 2015.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on April 16, 1944, he was a son William Riese Jr. and the late Edythe (Byam) Riese. “Bill” was a graduate of Lawrence High School Class of 1962. A Navy veteran, he served a tour of duty aboard the USS Arnold J. Isabell during the 1960s. Mr. Riese continued his education at New Hampshire College, attending night school for 7 years while working full time, where he earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration.
Bill had been employed with the former Sanders Associates, Inc. and their successors Lockhead Martin and BAE Systems where he worked in management and quality assurance.
A resident of Hudson for many years, Bill married Marcia J. Roberts on December 29, 1967 and shared 42 wonderful years together until her death on August 20, 2010. For the past 4 years, Bill has had a loving relationship with Virginia “Ginger” Bernado formerly of Billerica, MA.
Bill will be remembered as a very hardworking man devoted to his family and friends. He loved boating on Lake Winnesquam, football every night available, especially the Patriots, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Members of his family include three children, Stephen S. Riese and his fiancée, Rosa Tellez of California, Erika L. Riese of Hooksett and Timothy J. Riese and his wife Karla of Dover, NH; three grandsons, Tyler, Zachary and Connor Riese; his father, William Riese Jr. of Hudson, NH; two sisters, Nancy Riese-Ferrante and her husband Vinnie of Chelmsford, MA & Susan Cunningham and her husband Michael of Derry, nh; two nieces, Rachael and Erin Cunningham of Derry; also nephews and cousins. In addition to his mother, Bill was predeceased by his brother, Steven Riese who died at 6 years old.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Tuesday October 13th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home, Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. Family and friends are invited to attend.
