BRIERE, YOLANDE D.

   Yolande D. (Soucy) Briere, 97, of Nashua, NH and more recently of North Andover, MA, passed away Friday afternoon, April 14, 2023 at the Prescott House in North Andover. Yolande was the widow of Raymond J. Briere, who passed away April 1, 2015.         

    Born in Nashua on March 7, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Pierre J. and Alvine (Landry) Soucy. Yolande was educated in local schools and had been employed with the former International Shoe Company at their Nashua factory at the corner of Lake and Ash Streets.

  Yolande and her husband Ray were married for 62 years and enjoyed spending time with their family. She was a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague Church.

     Members of her family include her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bruce Watson; her son, Raymond M. Briere; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Yolande was predeceased by four brothers, Camille, Leo, Gerard and Henry Soucy; a sister, Diana Esile; and her daughter-in-law, Maureen Briere, who passed away in January of this year.

      Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Monday, April 24th from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 West Hollis Street, Nashua, Tuesday, April 25th at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery. So sorry for your loss. She is in my prayers. Aunt Holly was a quite and classy lady. I loved her.
