GAIMARI, ADELE T.

Adele Gaimari 90, of Nashua, died peacefully at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua on Saturday, September 6th.  She resided in Nashua for nearly 60 years, and spent much of her time, especially summers, at Newfound Lake in Bridgewater, N.H. Her last 2 years were spent at the Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson.

Adele was born in 1929 in Worcester, Massachusetts, the eldest daughter of Henry and Helen Bruinsma. She married Frank A. Gaimari M.D. also from Worcester, in 1954. Dr. Gaimari was a practicing physician in Nashua for several decades. He predeceased her in 2009.

Adele is survived by her children and their spouses: Francis and Debra (MacLeod) Gaimari of Grantham, N.H.; Theresa and Mark Anderson of La Crescenta, California; Robert and Ellen (Wadleigh) Gaimari of Hollis, N.H.; and Stephen and Helen (Jones) Gaimari of Davis, California. She is survived by 9 loving grandchildren and their spouses: Angela Gaimari of Truro, Massachusetts; Anthony and Peabody (Southwell) Gaimari of Los Angeles, California; Natalie Gaimari and Ryan Hickey, of Queens, New York; Caroline Gaimari of Paris, France; Erik Anderson of San Jose, California; Nicole Anderson of La Crescenta, California; Alexander and Tony Gaimari of Davis, California; and Rebecca Gaimari of Somerville, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her great-grandson Lionel Gaimari of Los Angeles, California; a sister and brother-in-law, Trudy and Roy DuVerger of Waynesville, North Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Adele especially loved spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, reading, playing bridge and cribbage, gardening, gourmet cooking, and watching her beloved Boston sports teams.

Her family thanks the many people who expressed concern and provided solace and care during her recent illnesses. We would especially like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff who took care of Adele from Right At Home, Fairview Nursing Home, and St. Joseph’s Hospital.

No memorial service is planned at this time due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  Please think of Adele in your prayers. Donations may be made to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society at the Immaculate Conception Church in Nashua. I have just heard of Adele's passing. I am so sorry to hear this. For the short time that I knew her (almost two years) I found her a wonderful companion. We played Cribbage and Canasta together at Fairview every week until we were separated by Covid19 closing its doors to family and friends. She was a worthy opponent who hated to lose. She loved her family and was immensely proud of all of them. She was quite the matriarch and will be sorely missed.

Fly high above my dear friend, you taught me life lessons , we shared the love of bird watching, gardening, sports , and always trying to defeat a challenging game of Scrabble. Driving the Caddie to your beloved lake house, numerous trips to Costco, it was my honor to care for such an amazing lady. Love and Peace to all

Our sincere sympathy to the entire Gaimari family. We will always have loving thoughts of our spirited and kindhearted neighbor, Adele. There was no one better to spar with on politics, or share joy or burdens. She might give you a hug, or tell you what's what, but always with an affectionate and caring good nature. May your memories and experiences with her comfort you in your loss.

Visiting with Adele while she was at Fairview became the most delightful moment of the day when I was on work schedule. She had so much to share: kindness, knowledge, interests, experiences, curiosity, a wonderful sense of humor, and, of course, genuine caring about others. Even the birds she fed from her window would seek her out, peering in the room to check on her. She chuckled when I shared the info about the bear in Hollis that her son and I shared. She left an impression on many and she is missed. I feel so fortunate for having known her.
