A graveside service will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Nashua Street, in Milford, NH for David Crane Miller, 73,  who passed away in Parsippany, NJ after a lengthy illness.

Born in New York City, NY in 1949, he was the son of the late John Hamilton Miller II and Harriet Crane Miller of Rumson, NJ.  David was also predeceased by his older brother, John Hamilton Miller III of Little Compton, RI.  Educated in NJ schools, David attended Rumson Country Day School as a child and graduated from the local high school.  After graduating from Paul Smith’s College, David attended technical school where he trained in computer science.

A member of the Rumson Country Club in Rumson, NJ, David enjoyed skeet shooting on the grounds of the club. In his later years, David was a welcome guest at his younger brother Toby’s home in Charlestown, MA where he instructed his young niece on space travel and his nephew on building with construction blocks.

After retiring, David pursued his interest in scuba diving, underwater photography and the great outdoors.  Travel to national parks allowed David to pursue his lifelong interest in the natural world.  He was fond of recalling trips taken as a child with his family throughout the southwest and Yosemite, riding in the back seat with his brother.

Throughout his life, David contributed to food banks and wildlife and conservation causes.  Giving back to the wider community was important to David.
