DENIS L. RAYMOND

Denis L. Raymond, 62, of Nashua, NH and Punta Gorda, FL passed away unexpectedly at his home in Florida, Monday, January 2, 2017.

He was born in Nashua, NH on July 31, 1954, the son of the late Leo E. and Carmen F. (Melanson) Raymond.

Denis was a life-long resident of Nashua where he was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1972. He was a well-known Nashua business owner for 30+ years. He was a proud owner of D.L. Raymond Construction, Inc. with a penchant for quality, dedication, hard work, and strong ethics.

Denis enjoyed spending time at the beach whether it was sitting on his deck peering out on the Atlantic Ocean, being on the boat, flaunting his expertise in fishing, or spending quality time with his beloved cats. Denis had a passion for cooking, especially for large groups of family and friends. Denis’ family and friends can always remember his amazing Surf & Turf gatherings. He was ultimately known as the “grill-master” because no one could cook a steak like he could.

Members of his family include his wife Bonni (Secord) Raymond of Nashua; a step-daughter, Heidi, and her husband George Ortiz of Hudson; two grandchildren Cameron and Jacob Ortiz of Hudson; an Aunt Florette Raymond of Hudson; and Stephanie Johnson, Denis’ long time Office Manager and friend.

SERVICES: Family and friends are invited to the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, NH Thursday January, 12, 2017 from 5PM-8PM. Donations may be made to the Kitty Angels, Inc. P.O. Box 638 Tyngsboro, MA 01879 (www.kittyangels.org). Arrangements are in the care of the FARWELL FUNERAL SERVICE. (603) 882-0591. www.farwellfuneralservice.com

Denis, You will always be an amazing part of my my childhood and adult life. You were an amazing man who no matter what obstacle always looked out for others. I remember when we first moved in next door. You always helped us shovel, or invited us over for food. Any party or get together we were on the guest list. You will truly be missed by the Alicea family. We appreciated all of your generosity. Rest easy my friend!! We love you

So good to so many. So many great times over the years. Too many to count. Reconnected a few years ago. Thanking God for that. Thirty years knowing him, working with him & beside him, all those years that I ran The Nashua Elks. So much volunteering, together. Worked for him at DL Raymond. So many great times, hosted by Dennis. Such a hard working man. God bless & rest you Denis. xoxo
