My heart goes out to April and Marilyn for the loss of their brother Earl. Dirt was not only a great drummer, but also a great friend. I will always remember our times together in the HitchHikers, the Age of Reason, and the Nuboss Sound. Your love of music was truly inspiring and I believe you will still be playing in heaven. Rest In Peace my friend.

We began our Rock & Roll adventure together with Frank & Davey Loughran in Dirt's grandmother's living room on Highland St in Hudson (he referred to Hudson as "The wild Side!) - had to be 1967, I think - 2 guitars and a microphone plugged into one Sears amp with Dirt (he was still Earl then) playing a makeshift drum kit - The Hitchhikers were born. He was a great friend for a long time - we lived together and played countless shows with Aces - he was absolutely the sweet gentle soul that everyone remembers. He will be deeply missed.

We're so sad to hear about Dirt. Remembering how we connected musically right from the first time we played together. It was fantastic. Especially enjoyed playing with him in the JiveKats. Will miss him so much. Peace Jim and Cindy Kelly

Condolences to the Munson family. Earl Jr. is now in heaven probably having a discussion with Earl Sr. and my dad "Topper" Ouellette (New England Tel.). RIP and give those angels a drumming lesson.

I was truly shocked and saddened to read of Earl's passing this morning. I had the pleasure of working with Earl, for a time in my employ, some years ago. Those who knew, or ever had contact with Earl, will always remember him as a soft-spoken gentle soul. I knew him as both, a gifted musician, as well as a talented craftsman in the carpentry field. As is often the case, Earl was one who was taken far too soon. My sincerest condolences go out to his family, as well as the many close friends he made throughout his life.
