Gig was a big part of my childhood growing up in my neighborhood. I’ll always be thankful for how generous he and Carolyn would be letting my sister and I, along with other kids in the neighborhood, play in their house and climb their trees. Gig and Carolyn were like another pair of grandparents to us all! Sending my condolences to Carolyn and the rest of his family during this difficult time.

To the Marineau family, so sad to hear of Gig's passing. I have many fond memories of Gig at Exchange Club events like the ski swap and Give A Kid A Flag To Wave to name a few. He was one of the finest gentlemen I’ve ever known.

Marineau family—I am sorry for your loss. I was one of the players on the NHS 1966-67 season. Coach Marineau was a wonderful influence on me. I wasn’t a very good player; the team had a few stars—Doug Whitney, Steve Crosby, Tom Monaghan, Kevin Parzych and others. Coach taught us about life and hockey. For example, We thought we were pretty good, so Coach arranged a scrimmage against Burlington. We lost 13-0. That beating helped us get a lot better. RIP.

Aunt Carolyn and family, Sorry for your loss. I have many great memories of Uncle Gigi. I remember watching him play hockey, getting tubes of used tennis balls from him, watching Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Gigi dancing the latest dances at weddings. Going to Revere Beach with him when they still had amusement rides. You’re in our thoughts and prayers. Chris and Chuck McKenna and family
