Herbert Louis Bill (“Bill”) passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024.
Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1931 in West Canaan, NH to William and Donalda, Herbert was the youngest of three boys. He was predeceased by brothers Charles and Edgar.
After graduating from high school, Mr. Bill served with the US Air Force from July 1949 to September 1953 and held the rank of Airman First Class. He furthered his education at the University of New Hampshire, graduating in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Bill also studied at Andover Newton Theological College, graduating in August of 1976 and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, graduating in May 1978.
“Bill” met Dorothy while serving in the U. S. Air Force and they were married in 1951. They shared 66 years of marriage before Dorothy passed away in June 2017. Dorothy had a wonderful sense of humor and was the kindest and most patient person you could ever wish to meet. She was an amazing Mother to all their children, Mark Bill, Darlene Albert and Karen Bill. They built a life of service in Nashua through Emmanuel’s Church and taught Vacation Bible School to neighborhood children for years.
Bill is survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Joseph Bill, Michael Albert & Partner Charlyn Friedman and their children Makenzie & Chloe, and Jonathan Albert and his son Mason Albert Murrer.
The family would like to thank Clement Lashomb who was a loyal and true friend to Bill for many years and especially in the last months while caring for his friend. Clem, being a Marine Veteran, treated Bill like a brother and showed compassion and love.
