BILL, DOROTHY & HERBERT

Herbert Louis Bill (“Bill”) passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024.

Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1931 in West Canaan, NH to William and Donalda, Herbert was the youngest of three boys.  He was predeceased by brothers Charles and Edgar.

After graduating from high school, Mr. Bill served with the US Air Force from July 1949 to September 1953 and held the rank of Airman First Class. He furthered his education at the University of New Hampshire, graduating in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Bill also studied at Andover Newton Theological College, graduating in August of 1976 and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, graduating in May 1978.

“Bill” met Dorothy while serving in the U. S. Bill is survived by his children,  grandchildren and great grandchildren;  Joseph Bill,  Michael Albert & Partner Charlyn Friedman and their children Makenzie & Chloe, and Jonathan Albert and his son Mason Albert Murrer.

The family would like to thank Clement Lashomb who was a loyal and true friend to Bill for many years and especially in the last months while caring for his friend.  Clem, being a Marine Veteran, treated Bill like a brother and showed compassion and love.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Gideons International, Nashua Camp, P.O. Box 411, Nashua, NH 03061.

Bill will be interred at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH alongside Dorothy.  All services will be private. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.farwellfuneralservice.com Arrangements are in the care of the FARWELL FUNERAL SERVICE, 18 Lock Street, Nashua.

Betty said: I never met Pastor Bill face to face, but had many conversations over the years. Claudette introduced me to him and he would help me pray regarding things that were going on in my life and daughter's. He told me that he had our names posted on the prayer wall. I will miss him, but he is now with the Lord. My condolences to his family.

I will never forget the kindness of Herb and Dorothy Bill. Their patience for a young teen girl trying to figure out life was a great comfort! Also, I really enjoyed their bookstore in the basement - I would buy all my "Jesus loves you!" stickers and I think my first Bible. I'm very grateful to both of them. ❤️❤️

A special friend even though we lived far apart. Herb was a real prayer warrior. What a privilege to know him. He was such an encouragement.
