VERY sorry to hear of Jean's passing. She would come out and chat every once in a while and it's going to be strange not saying hello to her anymore. RIP sweet Jean. :(

Jean was one of the most loving and gracious women I've ever met . Her sense of life, love, and true sense of Christianity ran so deep she will be forever missed.

Brian, Kevin and family. I knew Jean from church. She was always smiling and was always there with warm "hello or a hug for anyone ". She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Heaven has gained not only an angel but a new choir member as well. May she rest in peace in the loving arms of Christ Jesus.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Jean's father, Dan Longenecker, was my mother's older brother. My family lived in Kansas, and Jean's in Massachusetts, so we rarely saw one another. My most vivid childhood memory of Jean was when her family visited Kansas. Jean was about 16, and I was about 12. I was in awe of her-- she was such a beautiful girl, blonde and stylish, and to my Midwest eye, a sophisticated Easterner. I might have felt intimidated, but Jean was so warm and interested in me. I remember how special that time with her was, and how honored I felt to have her for a cousin. Her genuine warmth and interest in others were lifelong qualities in Jean, and she always made our connection feel special, each time we reunited. I am grateful for Jean's life and for her presence in our family. Barry and I accompany Jean's friends and family in their grief.

We are so saddened by Jean's passing - what a loss to all who knew her. Our deepest sympathy to her family and all those who were close to her. Jean was always so thoughtful, so out of herself and present for those around her. She always brought a smile and a kind word especially to those in need - a real angel.

We are so sorry for your loss. Jean was so fun to talk to at the family gatherings. She always had great stories and a terrific laugh. Her quick wit will be missed. Now she’s enjoying her new heavenly body, no more cane or pain, only joy and light. We hope you can find some comfort in that she’s in a better place, no longer encumbered by earthly constraints, and probably dancing a jig!

Jean was a beautiful soul inside and out. She was such a pleasure to work with in the choir, and always brought joy to the group with her humor and love. Heaven has another angel, and I know she is smiling on all of us.

Jean and I were separated by many miles but she was always in my heart. I have such fond memories of our childhood together and our Mother/Daughter dinners with our mothers and grandmother at the Congregational Church in Reading. Jean brought joy to us all and will be greatly missed.

I was so saddened to hear of her passing. Not only was Jean a member of our church, she was also a very close friend to my Father and Mother. I will miss her beautiful solos, her eagerness to greet us Sundays at church, and our great conversations. She will be greatly missed. I find comfort knowing that my dad was there to greet her with a big hug in heaven. May her family find comfort in knowing that she touched everyone she met and that she put smiles on many faces.

Although I knew Jean for such a short time, I thank God that He brought us together for the brief but wonderful fellowship we had. What a beautiful person who always brought everyone so much joy when we saw her smiling face. My heart goes out to her family.

Jean was a vibrant, wonderful girl. I remember her well from the Reading school system. Her long battle with MS is now over. May she rest in peace. May her family and friends find comfort in the many good memories they have of her.
