Kathy and I were roommates and co-teachers at the Department of Defense Army School at Idar Oberstein, Germany in 1965-1966. We traveled all over Europe in her little green VW bug. She was a great teacher and a fun friend. Rest in Peace, Kathy.

We are so sad to hear of Kathy’s passing. We became friends while teaching in Germany and our husbands were in the Army. We will miss visiting with her on our trips back to Boston. Our thoughts and prayers are with Paige, Paul and Bob and families.

I could always count on Kate to cover any class, she was dependable, always prompt and would go with the flow.... and follow the lesson plan left. She had a wonderful pleasant personality and a smile for all. My condolences to her family and the AHS family as well. Susan Mollohan

I met Kathy, always Kathy in my heart and not Kate, when I started substituting at Alvirne in the 90’s. We shared many laughs and stories through the years both at Good Shepherd and later when she subbed for me at Alvirne. Like she was at Alvirne, she was a mainstay in Altar Guild and could always be depended on. My condolences go to all who will miss her as I do.

Kathy was a shining example of professional educator, mom to all, psychologist, student advocate or "hammer" when required, which as a sub came in very handy at times. She was loved by all faculty and students, and administration..., always being there when we needed a hand. She will be always missed but never forgotten by our Alvirne family!

My deepest sympathies on Kathy's passing. So many great memories as she welcomed me to Alvirne in 1996. She always had a great smile and a kind word peppered by a wonderful sense of humor. So supportive of the music department and the heart of a true Bronco. RIP - Kathy, you will be missed!
