RIP Uncle Leo. He was an amazing Man, Dad, Uncle, and friend of so many. I have many great memories of time spent with the entire family in Sharon, MA, Hollis, NH, and hunting in Colebrook, NH. He and Aunt Iola were always welcoming and friendly to our entire family. He truly was one of the greatest generation and will be missed. Anchors away indeed. “ Anchors Aweigh, my boys, Anchors Aweigh! Farewell to foreign Shores, we sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay; Through our last night ashore, drink to the foam,” Until we meet once more, here's wishing you a happy voyage home!

I taught Leo violin lessons in the 80's and he was a treat. Always an adventure wondering if his dog ate part of his foam shoulder pad each week before he arrived! I did cut a lot of foam cushions for him. Leo was so proud of his "boys" and so in love with Iola. It came out in subtle ways and obvious bragging sessions! He loved music and felt like playing a bit of fiddle connected him even more to his family. I think of Leo often with happy memories of those long ago lessons and admiration for the way he lived with full-out gusto. I pray for comfort for his family.
